A Teary First

I have been out of town without the kids (several times).

Andy has been without the kids (business trips as well as at home while we are gone for a week or so).

We have never left them alone with anyone other than one of us for a whole night.

Until tomorrow...

Andy is going to the Cubs game. I have class until almost 9 pm. I called several friends, but noone could watch them. I thought about not going to class ~ but I just cannot afford to get behind. Andy suggested that he skip the game ~ but I really want him to go. Therefore, the kiddos are staying over at someone else's home for the first time without Mommy and/or Daddy. I get teary just thinking about it.

So tonight, they packed their suitcase for the night. It started out as a bag. Apparently they like to pack a lot like their mommy does! I eventually had to get the small suitcase to hold all of their things. I let them pack whatever they wanted ... which has made for some interesting choices.



Tomorrow is a big first .... maybe.
