A Writer & A Planter

Payton is a great drawer and colorer. The other day, he came home with a picture he made at the sitter's house AND it has some writing! I asked if someone helped him, he said "No, Mommy! I can write all by myself!" He proceeded to tell me what it said ~ which was a novel and changes each time you ask! (Emma has been writing her name for awhile, but she is not interested in the fine motor side of life.)


Emma enjoys spending time with Daddy outside doing lawn stuff. She has helped pick weeds, plant grass seed, water, etc... Daddy has taught her how to loosen the soil and put it in the prairie beside our house. He showed her where to exactly put it and how to pat it down. She does that the first couple of times. Then she will turn to see if Daddy is looking and then throw it in the air. (By the way, Payton has no interest. Instead he takes the opportunity to ride Emma's pink and purple big wheel.)
