Warning: Cleaning Leads to...

I have had every intention of posting more often this month ~ and now it is the end of the month. Next month?!?

I started working my second job this weekend, Crate & Barrel. It was a long 4 day weekend of training. I worked there 3 years ago, prior to having kids. I loved it, and am glad that I am able to work there again. The only thing that is difficult is the time I will be missing with my husband and kids. Weekends have been for playing, relaxing, and spending time together. Now, I will be working.

Last night I got home to find that Andy had done all the laundry. So I decided to straighten the house up a little. I got a bag off of the dining table and put it on the floor next to my bed. As I bent back up, a sharp (and I mean sharp) pain stabbed my lower back and then throughout my body. I thought maybe it was a spasim, and started to walk around. I soon realized it was more than that. I took a hot shower and Motrin. No matter what I was doing, all night I was in pain (sitting, standing, walking, "sleeping"). This morning, I could barely move.

The doctor said that I have sprained my back AND here is the funny part... "No bending for 2 weeks. Do not pick up anything over 20 pounds for 2 weeks." I asked her if she performs lipo on toddlers because they are 35 pounds now. "Do the best you can," was her only response. Besides being a mom and a teacher ~ I should be okay!

I get the prescriptions ... one of which comes with a two page document describing how the muscle relaxer can kill me in a variety of ways. That is exciting! All of this because of cleaning!

I knew it was a dangerous job!

Kelly...you make me laugh. I'll be praying that for the next two weeks, life will be a little easier...well, as easy as a life with two children can be.

I forgot to ask you this morning how you were feeling. Hopefully the pain has subsided. I know back pain. No picnic. :(
