Little Update

The past several weeks have been a blur. With my summer classes ending this week, I finally feel that I will have time to breathe before I start back to work in two short weeks.

The new home process is a long one, but worth it. We closed on the house August 11, and spent one week painting and cleaning before moving in. We would get started when Andy got home from work and didn't get to bed (at the apartment) until 3 am for almost a week. The kids would stay awake until we got in the car. It was a rough time, as the pictures below show.

The past few weeks have been full of getting organized in the midst of madness. I have had physical therapy three times a week on top of the two classes. Family has shuffled in and out. My parents helped us move in, Andy's aunt came for a week, and then seven of my family members were here the past few days. My cousins, Ian and John, were nice enough to take a picture with my kiddos at the mall.

We are ready to have some time to truly adjust to the new living space and area. Everything is new and we are all having our own issues in adjustment. The kiddos always slept in the same room in cribs until the move. Now with separate rooms and twin beds, Emma has had the hardest time adjusting to this change. She has never been one to sleep with Andy or me, but she has wandered in every night since we moved. Around 4 am, I feel this little body climbing over me to snuggle between us. I will give her another week and then do something. Payton is doing great ~ he won't even leave his bed until we go get him (and he loves for us to lay with him before kissing him goodnight). They both have increased their tantrums (amount and intensity). Payton's big thing right now is crying about everything a little longer than needed. At least they have quit asking to go home, but they still call where we live "the new house." Playing in the yard is great ~ watching what the pond and nature have to offer is great!

We now have the space to have people over. We now have the space to breathe and not be on top of one another. Andy and I are adjusting to being out here as well (everything we know and love is back in the other town), but we are getting there.
