The kiddos are going to our district's preschool this year (and next). We have spent several weeks talking to them about it. The biggest change for them was going to be the adjustment of being in different rooms. My grandma (aka Memaw) is mad that, but it is best for them. Emma tends to "mother" Payton. They also fight or get jealous of other friends. I also don't always trust that teachers will not compare children. I want my children to be known as individuals ~ be known for their successes and personalities ~ not for being cute twins.
Payton was up very early the first day. He was so excited. The bus is a big deal for him. Emma was apprehensive. She was worried that Payton was in a different class and wanted him to be okay. We were outside waiting on the bus nearly 30 minutes early. They just couldn't wait.
Here they are waiting, waiting, waiting .... (and yes I did cry. I didn't have time to follow the bus though. ha ha
)

Good for you about having them in separate classrooms. That had to be a tough decision, though. They look so grown up with their cute book bags. Almost makes me want to send Jed, too! Hope it's a great school year.
