We are 2, Etc...

What a busy week. I am finally getting a minute to breathe ~ therefore I can post. Emma and Payton turned two last week *sniff, sniff*. They are officially no longer babies. Tears got the best of me for a little while, all is well now.

Their birthday week actually started last weekend. My parents came up from Oklahoma. It is a lot of fun to watch my kids interact with my parents. They left on Monday morning, and Andy's Aunt Jan came on Tuesday afternoon. They had their party on Wednesday - presents, cake, friends, fun food! The party was followed by Payton's heart test (more on that later). When bed time finally rolled around, I left for a Pre-K conference down state, while Andy headed for the airport to get his mom. The kids were with Grandma and Aunt Jan for 2 days ~ I could tell they had a blast when I got home Friday. The family left on Saturday night. It was great to have family around and friends to celebrate with ~ thanks to everyone who participated in their big day!! Oh, and good luck to the babysitter next week!

Payton - after 2 hours of partying at the park, we arrived at the heart hospital for his test. We went into the room and he was relaxed and sweet. He was laying on the table with 3 heart monitor wires coming off of his bare chest, blankie on him, 2 stuffed animals by his side, a pacifier in his mouth, and I turned on Wonder Pets. He was awake about 2 minutes and then slept the rest of the time. The official results are not in yet, but the technician thought things looked well. He did see a few things, but nothing he thought was too alarming. We should hear by the end of the week.

I had an opportunity to go down state for a Pre-K conference. My friend, Stephanie, drove. It was a rough ride weather wise going down. We had fun ~ relaxing both nights. I feel like a bum in some sense, we didn't go out (except to Sonic of course). Instead, in the evenings, after conference hours were over, we stayed in our room reading magazines, watching TV and movies. For a mom, it was awesome. Hope she enjoyed it as well.

Laying in bed reading magazines and watching t.v. sounds like a dream night! I want to go to one of these 'conferences' too next time. And Sonic? How far down state did you have to go to find a Sonic? I must know!
